Aviva Drescher Reveals Why She Joined 'Real Housewives of New York'
Aviva Drescher is one of three new housewives who will star in the upcoming fifth season of Real Housewives of New York which debuts on Bravo next week. Drescher and her investment banker husband, Reid, live with their four children on Manhattan's Upper East Side.
Drescher isn't just your average housewife. When she was just 6 years old, she suffered a horrific farming accident which led to her left leg being amputated from the knee down. Now, she wants to spread her amazing recovery story and how she's not letting her amputation slow her down.
"I wanted to get the word out that people with challenges and limitations can do everything that everyone else can," she told Celebuzz. "That's why I'm doing the show, I guess; to let other people — especially women — know that they can feel the same way."
Catch Aviva Drescher and the ladies of Real Housewives of New York in the fifth season premiere on June 4th and 9/8c!
